Scholar Society of Thoughts

What we are?
The Scholar Society of Thoughts is a Peruvian non-profit organization, created by students in 2024, and it is dedicated to making philosophy accessible, understandable, and engaging for everyone. Its mission is to disseminate philosophical knowledge, promote critical thinking, and encourage dialogue through educational initiatives. A Directive Council governs the organization and includes two key sub-organizations: the Peruvian Philosophy Olympiad (PPO), which fosters philosophical debate among students nationwide, and New Era of Thoughts (NET), which seeks to create media content on platforms such as Instagram or YouTube. The SST also relies on volunteers, members, and sponsorships to support its activities and growth.

New Era of Thoughts
NET, the division of the Scholar Society of Philosophy, that offers free courses to young minds eager to explore the fascinating and timeless world of philosophy. Through engaging discussions, we tackle profound questions like What is love? Do miracles exist? Do I exist? and many other captivating topics that challenge the way we think about life, existence, and the universe.

Our program offers a comprehensive journey through the history of philosophy, starting with the wisdom of ancient Greek traditions, including the Pre-Socratics, Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. We then explore the medieval synthesis of faith and reason, the Renaissance revival of humanism, the revolutionary ideas of the Enlightenment, and the groundbreaking theories of the 19th and 20th centuries. Finally, we delve into 21st-century philosophy, tackling issues like artificial intelligence, ethics, and global challenges.
